I built a small desktop app called Creative Pressure.

It is not a productivity system.

That matters.

Most productivity apps are built around the fantasy that you can organize your way into making something.

Calendars.
Streaks.
Dashboards.
Motivational language.
Little graphs pretending the problem was information.

But sometimes the problem is simpler than that.

You have to start.

And you do not want to.

Creative Pressure is a dark little focus room for that exact moment.

You open it.
Pick a session length.
Choose Train Rain, Static, or Silence.
Write one note, intention, block, vow, or ugly starting point.
Then you begin.

15 minutes.
30 minutes.
45 minutes.
60 minutes.

A clock.
A note field.
A soundscape.
A little consequence.

That’s the whole app.

No feed.
No account.
No cloud.
No streak system.
No motivational confetti.
No AI telling you what your work should become.

Just pressure.

The app keeps recent session history locally.
At the end of a session, you can copy your notes or download the record as .txt or .md.

There is also Rage Mode.

Rage Mode removes pause during an active session.

Which is probably a terrible idea.

So naturally I kept it.

Sometimes you need gentleness.

Sometimes you need a small machine that says:

you started,
so now stay here.

Current flow:

• Open the app
• Choose a time box
• Choose a soundscape
• Write the starting note
• Start the timer
• Work until the pressure lifts
• Save or copy what happened

Everything is stored locally.

No telemetry.
No accounts.
No servers required for the core experience.

It is less like a planner
and more like a locked studio door with a countdown on it.

Creative Pressure does not make the work easier.

It just makes starting harder to avoid.

Sometimes that is enough.
