# Third-Party Notices **Noirsonance Quick Audio Edit** This application includes the open-source components listed below. Each is used under the licence shown, and the required copyright notices are reproduced here. **Third-Party Software.** Quick Audio Edit includes and uses third-party and open-source software components. Those components are licensed under their own respective licence terms, not under the Quick Audio Edit End User Licence Agreement. To the extent those terms grant rights that differ from that Agreement, the applicable third-party licence terms govern those components, and nothing in the Agreement limits any right granted under them. NoirSonance claims no ownership of any third-party component listed below. Each remains the property of its respective authors. Source code and licence texts for these components are published at: > https://noirsonance.com/legal/open-source/quick-audio-edit/ --- ## FFmpeg **Version 7.1.5 · GNU Lesser General Public License, version 2.1 or later** Copyright (c) 2000–2026 the FFmpeg developers https://ffmpeg.org This product uses code from the FFmpeg project. FFmpeg is included as a separate executable and is run as a separate process; it is not linked into Quick Audio Edit. The FFmpeg build included here was configured without `--enable-gpl` and without `--enable-nonfree`, and contains only the audio codecs this application uses: MP3, FLAC, Vorbis, Opus and uncompressed PCM. **Source code.** The complete source for this exact FFmpeg build, together with the build script and configuration used to produce it, is available at: > https://noirsonance.com/legal/open-source/quick-audio-edit/ You may modify FFmpeg and use your own build with this application: replace the `ffmpeg.exe` that Quick Audio Edit unpacks into its temporary directory. Because FFmpeg is invoked as a separate process, no relinking of Quick Audio Edit is required. The full text of the GNU Lesser General Public License version 2.1 is included in the application under **About → Third-Party Notices**, and in the source archive linked above. --- ## LAME (libmp3lame) **Version 3.101 · GNU Library General Public License, version 2 or later** Copyright (c) 1999–2017 The LAME Project https://lame.sourceforge.io Used as the MP3 encoder only. LAME is built with its decoder disabled and is statically linked into the FFmpeg executable described above, covered by the same source offer and replacement rights. --- ## Ogg, Vorbis and Opus **libogg · libvorbis · libopus — BSD 3-Clause License** Copyright (c) 2002–2020 Xiph.Org Foundation Copyright (c) 2001–2011 Xiph.Org, Skype Limited, Octasic, Jean-Marc Valin, Timothy B. Includes the bundled `dr_wav`, `dr_flac` and `dr_mp3` decoders, under the same terms. On Windows, miniaudio is used through the prebuilt native library that ships with the Miniaudio-CS package below. On macOS, the same miniaudio release (0.11.22) is additionally **compiled from source** into `libqae_audio_macos.dylib`, a small Quick Audio Edit component that drives audio output; that library is inside the application bundle. Both of miniaudio's licence options — public domain via the Unlicense, or MIT No Attribution — permit this without conditions, and no attribution is required. It is recorded here because it is accurate, not because it is demanded. --- ## Miniaudio-CS **MIT License** · Copyright (c) cubeww https://github.com/cubeww/Miniaudio-CS The .NET binding for miniaudio. MIT terms as reproduced above. Used for decoding on every platform, and for audio output on Windows. It is not used for audio output on macOS: its struct layouts are generated for Windows and are not valid on POSIX, so output there goes through the compiled-from-source component described under miniaudio above. --- ## ATL (z440.atl.core) **MIT License** · Copyright (c) Zeugma440 https://github.com/Zeugma440/atldotnet Used for reading and writing audio tags and cover art. MIT terms as reproduced above. --- ## Microsoft .NET **.NET 8 Runtime and Libraries** Copyright (c) .NET Foundation and Contributors https://dotnet.microsoft.com Quick Audio Edit is a self-contained application: the .NET runtime and libraries required to run it are included in the executable. The .NET runtime and the .NET libraries are distributed under the **MIT License** (reproduced above). Redistribution of the .NET runtime as part of a self-contained application is permitted under the **Microsoft .NET Library License**, which accompanies the .NET SDK used to build this application and is available at: > https://dotnet.microsoft.com/en-us/dotnet_library_license.htm Microsoft's own third-party notices for the .NET runtime — covering components such as zlib, Brotli, and the Unicode Character Database — are published at: > https://github.com/dotnet/runtime/blob/main/THIRD-PARTY-NOTICES.TXT --- © NoirSonance
